Whether I’m shopping for new or vintage I love “the hunt!” I provide this service for many of my clients who don’t have the time or just don’t get satisfaction spending their time this way or don’t know what to hunt for.
I derive great satisfaction and a sense of value from this part of the process. It’s an adventure. If I don’t find an actual item my mind will find an idea or at least a partial idea to build on!
For me, going to estate sales, garage sales, flea markets and the like is so much fun! The discovery process stimulates me!
Not everything I find is ready to be hung or used that day. Sometimes it needs some major love, some fabulous “design intervention.” Soon the big moment takes place: the “ooh- and-ah-look-how-fabulous-that-piece-is” moment that makes the hunt worth it!
